Cookie policy for StockingJoy
This policy applies to everyone who visits stockingjoy.com, operated by Bfp Swiss Sàrl, trading as StockingJoy. We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR: cookies that are strictly necessary for the shop to work are set automatically; every other cookie is set only if you agree.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things from one page or one visit to the next — what is in your basket, whether you are signed in, which choices you have made. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in the same way; this policy covers them too.
The cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — the basket, the checkout, signing in, fraud prevention and security, and remembering your cookie choices. The shop cannot work without them, so the law does not require your consent for them.
- Analytics — counting visitors and seeing which pages are read, so that we know what to improve. Set only if you agree.
- Preferences — remembering choices you have made so you do not have to make them again. Set only if you agree.
- Marketing — recording the pages you visited so that the advertising you see on other sites, such as Google or Facebook and Instagram, is more relevant to you, and measuring whether our adverts work. Set only if you agree.
The main cookies on this site
- cart, cart_sig — your basket (strictly necessary).
- _secure_session_id, checkout_session_token — your session and your checkout (strictly necessary).
- _tracking_consent — remembers your cookie choices (strictly necessary).
- localization — remembers your country and currency settings (strictly necessary).
- _shopify_y, _shopify_s — Shopify analytics, counting visits and visitors (analytics; set only with your consent).
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics (analytics; set only with your consent).
- _gcl_*, _fbp — Google and Meta advertising (marketing; set only with your consent).
Cookie names and durations are set by the providers and can change. Your browser lets you see exactly which cookies a site has stored.
Changing your mind
You choose when you first visit the site, through the cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. You can also set your browser to refuse or delete cookies — see its help menu. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the shop, including the basket and the checkout, will stop working.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date below shows when it last changed.
