The problem

Children are too excited to settle on Christmas Eve, and you want something calm but magical.

Why it makes a great gift

This little torch turns a dark bedroom into a Christmas picture show. Pop a disc in the slot, switch on and point it at the wall or ceiling: a festive scene appears, and a turn of the disc brings the next one.

The box contains the torch and three discs, for 24 Christmas pictures in total. It runs on a button cell battery, so there is no cable, and it is designed for children from 3 years, which makes it a lovely, quiet treat for the run-up to Christmas.

Perfect for…

You want a magical little gift for a child aged 3 or over.

You are looking for a calm Christmas Eve or bedtime activity.

You need a stocking filler that is not another sweet treat.

You have two children and want one red torch and one green.

01

A Christmas picture show on the wall

Turn the lights down, switch the torch on and point it at a wall or ceiling: Santa, his reindeer and his sleigh appear in a circle of light.

Children love projecting the scenes at bedtime, telling their own stories and spotting all the festive details.

02

24 festive scenes, three little discs

The box contains the torch and three picture discs, for 24 Christmas images in total: snowmen, Christmas trees, presents, Santa and more.

Slide a disc into the slot at the top, then rotate it to move from one picture to the next. Swapping discs takes a second.

03

Easy for small hands

Before the first use, pull out the plastic battery tab. Then it is simple: insert a disc, switch on, rotate to change the picture.

At about 11.5 cm long, the torch fits small hands and slips easily into a Christmas stocking, in festive red or green.
